The 2026 Call for Papers is now closed.
If your paper has been accepted, you will have an email with a unique link for submitting your final 4- to 6-page paper. We strongly encourage you to review the sample templates below so you will be aware of the mandatory sections, formatting requirements, font requirements, font sizes, and spacing required before submitting.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please appropriately safeguard information and data. For abstracts and papers that are not approved for public release, you are required to password-protect the PDF or DOCX file with AES-128-bit or higher encryption. Using the template below, send the title, author(s), and password in an email to the Publications Chair and the Technical Chair who will be coordinating the collection of CUI documents and ensuring they are properly handled etc.

A panel of judges drawn from the organizing committee will judge all student papers. First place winner will receive $500. The competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students. To be considered for this competition, the lead author must be a student, the student must present the paper or poster at the conference, and a full paper must be written and submitted to the Conference Proceedings. The student lead author must be a U.S. citizen or a legal U.S. Permanent Resident.
