In physical systems, noise is any unwanted signal — sometimes emerging from fundamental physical processes and other times from the surrounding environment. In much the same way, engineers and researchers often navigate a landscape filled with competing signals, ideas, and demands on their time, expertise, and mission.
For nearly 60 years, the GOMACTech community has brought together professionals from government, industry, and academia that share a commitment to advancing semiconductors and microelectronics. Through collaboration, curiosity, determination, and resilience, this community has continually found ways to focus on what matters most and move forward.
This year’s GOMACTech celebrates that shared journey — recognizing the people, partnerships, and thoughtful work that help bring clarity amid complexity and help sustain progress in microsystems research and development.
GOMACTech was established primarily to review developments in microcircuit applications for government systems. Established in 1968, the conference has focused on advances in systems being developed by the Department of Defense and other government agencies and has been used to announce major government microelectronics initiatives such as VHSIC and MIMIC, and provides a forum for government reviews.
